Last November, our hospitality students from all six Tio campuses across the Netherlands once again transformed two Stayokay hostels into luxurious four-star hotels! From reception and housekeeping to event organisation, our students called the shots.

The Red Carpet Hotel – Arnhem

The carpet was rolled out for you: at The Red Carpet Hotel, every guest felt like a star. The theme was ‘Hollywood meets Vegas’ and it certainly showed. Guests were immersed in glitter and glamour and sang their hearts out during The Voice of Hollywood. The Mayor of Arnhem officially opened the hotel, and our students even made it into the regional newspaper!

Hotel Ocean Pearl – Noordwijk

Where the ocean meets elegance. In Noordwijk, guests could enjoy Hotel Ocean Pearl on the coast, where they moved to the rhythm of the sea. They were able to fully unwind and take part in a beach clean-up. During the day, guests strolled through the dunes or along the beach; in the evening, the sky turned orange and laughter filled the terraces overlooking the sun setting into the sea. The Sea of Pearls Gala completed the experience: an evening full of music and great atmosphere.

And the winner is …

Both teams created a truly wonderful week! The mystery guests experienced the atmosphere, enjoyed dinner, stayed overnight and took part in the fantastic events that were organised. It was far from an easy choice as both hotels delivered excellent performances. But the decision has been made:

Both hotels were evenly matched and gave their guests an unforgettable experience. The Red Carpet Hotel earned its victory thanks to outstanding hospitality and service, as well as a highly successful PR campaign.
