Hotel Paradiso Oriëntal, which was run by Tio students from the locations Amsterdam, Hengelo and Rotterdam earlier this year, has donated € 3200,- profit to Make A Wish Nederland. Make A Wish Nederland is pleasantly surprised with this fabulous result.
Although hotel Paradiso Oriëntal did not win the competition between the Tio hotels, for the children fighting a disease making a wish, they are definitely number 1.
About the project
During project Hotel and Event week Tio students run several hotels in the Netherlands. They organize everything; starting from the personal planning to manning the reception and from planning events for the guest to cleaning the hotel rooms and taking care of the restaurant. Students have to fulfill all the positions of a complete hotel staff. It is not just the assessment of the teacher that counts during this Hotel and Event week, but also the opinion of the mystery guest, which will honor the hotel with a visit. The Tio hotels compete with each other. Hotel Exploration in Noordwijk was the winning hotel of Hotel and Event week 2012, with an excellent overall rating of 8,6.

Make A Wish Nederland fulfills wishes of children between 3 and 18 years old suffering a life threatening disease.”To be able to make a wish come true, has a magical effect on any child, but even more so on the children with a life threatening disease. It gives these children, who are often only seen as patients because of their disease, the strength to just be a kid.
