Tio students battle for best pop-uprestaurant

This year a very special Hotel and Event Week for Tio's students Hotel and Event Management: they run two pop-up restaurants! Holi Hawaii brings visitors into a Hawaiian atmosphere and Neon Flamingo goes for bright colors and flamingos! Check the pictures below!

Raising money for the Linda Foundation

With lunches, dinners, drinks boxes and pub quizzes, the teams collect as much money as possible for the Linda Foundation. This foundation is committed to families in financial need. Student Maud Elshuis of team Holi Hawaii says: “We make something beautiful out of it. What have I learned from this week? You do it all yourself. On the first day it was not quite clear who would take on which responsibilities, but now everyone has really found their way."

A night out

And it shows: the restaurant is booming! The chefs have also gone out of their way: the kaula pork with pineapple salsa on a bini, tropical tuna tartare and tempura shrimps taste delicious. The atmospheric live band sings and plays out of this world. For the visitors it is nice to once again "go out" within the applicable corona rules!
