Tourism students advise ANWB Reizen after boot camp

How do we get more out of member benefits? For this question, ANWB Reizen enlists the help of students: second-year students of International Tourism Management dive into the world of tourism innovation during the 5-day boot camp Tourism Business Innovation.

New concept for member benefit

After a kick-off in Pathé Leidsche Rijn, tourism students were set to work on a challenging assignment: develop a member benefit concept for ANWB Reizen products, which makes members feel valued and attracts new members. ANVR chairman Frank Oostdam kicked off the week with a guest lecture: “It's really nice to be able to kick off this project week. For the participating Tio students, it is a wonderful way to get in touch with a number of important challenges in the travel sector.”

Enthusiastic students

During an exciting final on the last day at Kinepolis Jaarbeurs Utrecht, the students compete with each other: who offers ANWB Reizen the best advice? Gert-Jan Bressers, Managing Director of FOX (part of ANWB Reizen) is curious: “I am very curious about the various recommendations that we will be presented. There is no shortage of enthusiasm among the students here, so that is promising!”

Who gives the best advice?

Students have done their best, according to the presentations during the finale. The best advice came from students Shanna Aerts, Maaike Vrancken, Famke Schoeman, Julia Muller and Gerdy de Jongh from Tio Amsterdam and Tio Utrecht. They devised a plan to reward members for activities they undertake with ANWB Reizen: members collect footsteps with the help of a wander coin. The jury: “The presentation was very creative, and all the wishes of ANWB Reizen were included. Moreover, the team has come up with great innovations!”

Congratulations on the prize!
