Corporate or operational assignments in the field of e-commerce, marketing and/or sales.

  • (assistant) manager e-commerce with research assignment;

  • (assistant) manager operations management with research assignment;

Corporate or operational assignments in the field of hospitality, events (HEM(E)) and tourism (ITM(E)) at organizations within the hospitality, event and tourism industry. An internship at a supplier (e.g. Coca Cola) could be possible, if the internship is sufficiently linked to the industry of the bachelor programme. Also, in some cases, it is possible to execute an internship outside the industry, as long as the internship can be linked to industry related learning outcomes of the bachelor programme. A possible internship could be for example, ‘hospitality in the health industry’. The condition of the internship being related to the industry is extremely important.

  • Business administrative/marketing internship within the hospitality industry;
  • Communication internship within the hospitality industry;
  • Events internship.

The IBM internships are executed with internationally oriented companies. That means that students will deal with international clients, suppliers or colleagues in their day-to-day work, their work will cross borders.

An internship with a different company (e.g. a hotel abroad) is possible if the internship is sufficiently related to the sector of the ITM programme. It is also possible to do internships with companies outside the sector, provided that the internship concerns competences related to the sector of the ITM programme. If the first internship is done in the hospitality, the second internship cannot be done with an event company (and vice versa), but needs to be done in the tourism industry.

  • Operational internship at an industry wide tourism organization (for example a tourist office, ANWB, ANVR and so on);
  • Business administrative/marketing/communication internship within the tourism industry;
  • Events internship.

Costs for hiring a student consist of a reimbursement to the student.

  • As a guideline for the reimbursement to the student, Tio recommends the amount of € 62.00 per week. In consultation with the student and the company, different agreements can be agreed upon.
