Tio scholarships for foreign students

At Tio Business School, we believe that talent knows no borders. That is why we offer a range of scholarships designed to attract ambitious students from around the world and support them in achieving their academic and professional goals.

Availability

International EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA students enrolled in one of our English-taught programmes.*

*Students with a Dutch passport are not eligible and can apply for DUO student finance instead.

Duration

Each scholarship is awarded for one academic year and is based on academic excellence, personal drive and future potential.

Tio super talent scholarship: 50% of tuition fee
The Tio Super Talent Scholarship is awarded to the most exceptional applicants who demonstrate outstanding academic performance, strong extracurricular engagement and a clear motivation to excel.
- 50% reduction on tuition fees for one academic year
- It is possible to apply for this scholarship every year.
Eligibility criteria:
- Excellent academic results (e.g., achievements above 80%, A-B grades and a GPA of 3.5 and higher) and active involvement outside the classroom.
- A strong motivation and international mindset
- If you are required to submit an English language certificate, you must meet one of the following minimum scores:
  - IELTS Academic: 7.0 or higher
  - TOEFL iBT: 95 or higher
  - Pearson PTE Academic: 65 or higher
  - Cambridge English: 200 or higher
  - Cambridge CAE: Grade A or higher
  - CEFR: C1 level or higher
Please note that meeting the minimum language requirements does not automatically guarantee a scholarship. Scholarships are awarded based on a holistic assessment, including academic performance, motivation, international profile, leadership potential and overall fit with Tio Business School.

Tio talent scholarship: 25% of tuition fee
The Tio Talent Scholarship is designed for motivated students with leadership potential who aspire to make an impact in the international business world.
- 25% reduction on tuition fees for one academic year
- It is possible to apply for this scholarship every year.
Eligibility criteria:
- Above-average academic results (e.g., achievements above 70%, A-B-C grades and a GPA of 3.0 and higher) and meaningful extracurricular activities
- A strong motivation and ambition to grow professionally
- If you are required to submit an English language certificate, you must meet one of the following minimum scores:
  - IELTS Academic: 6.5 or higher
  - TOEFL iBT: 79 or higher
  - Pearson PTE Academic: 58 or higher
  - Cambridge English: 190 or higher
  - Cambridge CAE: Grade B or higher
  - CEFR: C1 level or higher

How to apply for one of our scholarships?

To be considered for a Tio scholarship, you must first be admitted to one of our full-degree programmes. Once you have received your admission and wish to apply for a scholarship, please submit the following documents as one complete package:

Required documents

A letter of recommendation in English from your former (secondary) school
A legalised copy of all diplomas, translated into English
A legalised copy of recent transcripts or grade lists, translated into English
A legalised copy of your English language certificate (IELTS / TOEFL / PTE Pearson / Cambridge); if needed
A self-recorded video of 2–5 minutes, in which you introduce yourself and share:
- Why you chose to study at Tio Business School?
- What excites you most about your chosen programme?
- What you expect from living and studying in the Netherlands?
- What are you goals for the future?
- Elaborate further on your motivation for receiving a scholarship

Please note: This video will be used exclusively for your scholarship application and for no other purposes.

Scholarship application deadlines

September intake: 1st of July
January intake: 1st of November

We would like to give all the applicants a fair chance. Due to this, we will not be able to reward scholarships before the given deadline.

Scholarship results

You will be informed of the outcome approximately 15–20 days after the application deadline. If your application is successful, the scholarship will be applied directly as a tuition fee discount.

For non-EU/EEA students only: Please note that the scholarship discount cannot be balanced to the minimum financial requirements from the IND needed for a student visa.

	Worldwide: If you study at one of the ISP network schools, you will be automatically given a 10% reduction on our tuition fee.
