Not every student starts an MBA from the same background. If your academic or professional experience is in a different field, or if you need to strengthen your knowledge of business and research, you begin with the pre-master’s programme. This compact and intensive programme brings you quickly up to the level required for the MBA.

Study programme

In just 11 weeks of full-time study, you build a solid foundation. The pace is fast and the structure is focused. You move between different business areas with ease and develop the skills you will need throughout your MBA journey.

Modules

You explore the core areas of business, including marketing, finance, operations and organisational management. You learn how organisations work, how decisions are made, and how different processes connect. Step by step, you build the insight needed to understand and approach complex business challenges.

Admission

The pre-master’s programme starts in September.

Entry requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• If the student has unsufficient background in business administration or management modules
• Exemptions at module level are possible, provided the student can demonstrate that the module was passed at bachelor’s level.

  1. The pre-master’s programme runs from 1 September 2027 to 31 December 2027.
  2. Tuition fees may be indexed annually, based on inflation.

Dutch student finance

You will be enrolled as an MBA student for the pre-master’s programme. As a full-time MBA student, you may be eligible for Dutch student finance, provided you have not yet used up all your student finance for higher education. If you have not used any student finance for higher education, you are unfortunately not entitled to student finance for your full-time MBA. If, after the Pre-Master’s programme, you enrol on the part-time programme, you may be eligible for the lifelong learning credit.

Entry to the MBA

You complete this pre-master’s programme with clear assessment criteria. You show that you have mastered the content and developed the skills required at master’s level. Upon completion of the pre-master’s programme, you will receive a certificate stating: ‘Pre-master’s programme completed’. After this, you are ready to progress into the MBA and continue developing your specialisation.
