International work placements

Many Tio students do one or more work placements abroad. A high degree of independence and initiative is expected of you. As you familiarise yourself with other cultures, the need for good language skills will become more apparent to you. The minimum duration of a work placement is 15 weeks, but some placements abroad can last as long as 4 months to a maximum of 10 months. Students receiving a student grant may also be eligible for a ‘living away from home’ grant during a work placement abroad.

International exchange

Tio cooperates with several partner universities around the world. As a bachelor student you can, during the minor phase, study for a semester at one of the partner universities, carefully selected by Tio.

Erasmus grant

The Erasmus grant is a one time only grant for bachelor students seeking a work placement or attending an student exchange abroad., but within Europe. The grant is intended as a compensation towards the costs of living abroad. Whether or not a student is eligible for a grant depends on the amount of grants made available to Tio, which differs every year.

Excursions

Every year you can participate in one or more excursions, with a range of destinations from Berlin to the USA.
