Tio locations are small-scale and have a friendly and safe atmosphere. When weighted in the 2013-2014 academic year, the average number of students across the whole of Tio, was 11 to a classroom. That means lecturers know you by name, which makes the education more personal.
In the 2014 Higher Education Guide, the HEM and ITM courses are rated the best of their kind in the Netherlands. In addition, the ITM course scored the highest out of all tourism courses in the National Student Survey for the fifth year running. HEM received the highest scores for the fourth year running and IBM achieved the highest score of all business courses.
Over half of Tio students (partly) fund their courses themselves and are therefore highly motivated. This ensures better grades and enthusiastic lecturers. 90% of first year Tio students pursue their studies after the first year, compared to a national average of 68%.
Over half of our students opt for one or more work placements abroad. In addition, you can opt for one or two semester(s) at one of Tio’s partner universities abroad, usually without a delay to your studies, and you can also undertake one or more international study trips.
